My name is Jens-Peter Weismantel, and I did not suddenly discover yesterday that music and loudspeakers might make a business model. I have been DJing since 1992, later spent about ten years in web radio, and in 2015 I made the move into self-employment and have been working under my own name ever since.
What interests me far more than any artificial DJ show is how an evening needs to fit the people who are celebrating. I am not a fan of treating every event with exactly the same concept. If you already know clearly what you want, great. If you only have a rough direction in mind so far, that is perfectly fine as well. The rest can be worked out together.
The right time to get in touch
Once the venue for your celebration in Żary is fixed, the enquiry can follow straight away. For dates between May and September, a lead time of around 6 to 12 months makes sense. Whether it is a birthday, pre-wedding party, anniversary or a larger celebration with family and friends: hosts want atmosphere, guests would ideally each like to hear their own music, and somewhere in between stands the DJ. Anyone who thinks I only have to press play and the rest will sort itself out either knows private parties only by hearsay or has been extremely lucky.

What I mean by that slightly confusing opening is simple: weddings demand even more care than an ordinary family celebration. Quite rightly, couples aim for a very high level of perfection, because unlike a birthday party that went slightly wrong, you cannot just say, “We will do it better next year.” This day is meant to be uniquely beautiful.
That is exactly why every wedding is something special to me as a DJ. I prefer to prepare weddings together with the couple in a personal meeting at the venue itself. In that final conversation we go through every highlight of the celebration so as little as possible is left to chance and typical planning mistakes can be avoided. I also speak with the person taking on the role of toastmaster so that guests planning surprises get the support they need as well.
By the time a couple starts looking for a DJ, the venue is often already fixed or at least very clearly taking shape. Sometimes it is a classic prom with a formal part, sometimes more of a graduation party where people do not want to hang around too long once dinner is over. Both are perfectly fine. The only important thing is that technology, programme and music work together instead of tripping over one another. On evenings like this, rough transitions show far more quickly than people would like.
I can accompany your event from the first programme point to the later party section: with suitable sound for speeches and performances, with wireless microphones where needed and of course with music once the formal part should finally become a celebration. First there may still be several generations in the room, later the dance floor should not fall asleep. That is exactly why a DJ is there and not merely as a living speaker stand.
One more recommendation I would really make: do not leave the booking until the very last minute. Graduation events fall right into a season when lots of people want to celebrate at once. The earlier the date is fixed, the easier everything else becomes.

I can provide sound, make announcements possible and, if required, also take on the moderating role myself. That fits sports festivals, club competitions, smaller tournaments and similar formats where not every detail needs huge production values, but where the whole event should still feel properly organised.
For smaller sports grounds and halls, I bring the equipment including wireless microphones for announcements, awards or interviews. When it comes to larger areas, my ambition stops early enough and I would rather bring in a partner company that is built for that job. It is more honest, it sounds better and it saves nerves in the end.
If the sports event turns into a celebration afterwards, that is not a problem at all but rather the obvious next step. In that case, awards, announcement beds and event music can flow quite naturally into a proper evening party.

That is exactly where karaoke shines. Guests entertain guests, someone suddenly discovers their inner pop star, and the rest of the room wavers somewhere between applause, laughter and loud support, depending on the talent level involved. Boredom is rarely an issue.
For that, I bring a ready-made karaoke package: about 300 songs in German and English, two wireless microphones, a 24.5-inch monitor on a stand for the lyrics and clean playback via my DJ system. Song lists are naturally included, too, so nobody has to guess what is available.
