Who I am
My name is Jens-Peter Weismantel. I first started gaining experience as a DJ back in 1992, and later spent many years as a radio DJ on online radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed under the name Mobiler Musikservice, providing music for celebrations where the soundtrack should not merely run in the background, but genuinely fit the occasion.
What matters to me is that a celebration should not follow some standard pattern that could simply be thrown over any group of guests. Every person is different, so every evening may look different as well. What do you want for your event? That is the question worth discussing properly, rather than relying on ready-made concepts.
When to enquire
The most sensible time to enquire is as soon as your venue in Raguhn-Jeßnitz is confirmed. During the main season from May to September, a lead time of roughly 6 to 12 months is a good guide. The classic occasion is of course a birthday, often a milestone one. But it can just as easily be a confirmation, coming of age, anniversary or simply a family gathering where people want something more than coffee and cake. For me that means looking closely, staying musically flexible and not pretending forty guests will automatically share the same three favourite songs.
Some people imagine the DJ’s job to be surprisingly simple: press a button, music plays, dance floor fills. If only it worked that way, I could take a lot more breaks. Especially at private celebrations, the real work lies in bringing together very different guests musically without the evening falling apart.

That is exactly what makes weddings different from many other celebrations for me. Music, timing, surprises and atmosphere all interact much more closely. If something jars or slips out of place, people notice it far more quickly than they would at an ordinary party. That is why it is worth discussing the key points in advance instead of hoping improvisation will save the evening.
This is also why I prepare weddings more thoroughly than other events. I work through the schedule, the important highlights and the musical direction with my couples so the evening feels coherent rather than stiff. I also like to involve the wedding party or toastmaster, because surprise contributions should support the celebration rather than trip it up.
When couples start looking for a DJ, the venue is often already booked or at least close to being decided. Maybe you have made your choice; maybe you are still comparing two or three favourites nearby. Stadthafen Restaurant on Lake Goitzsche in Bitterfeld-Wolfen might be one of them. The district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld gives you plenty to choose from, and once the date and venue are becoming firm, it is best not to leave the DJ enquiry too long.

Saxony-Anhalt is known for castles and historic buildings, so it is easy to assume the state must be full of fairy-tale wedding settings. Unfortunately, that picture is only partly true, because many of those sites are not actually available for private celebrations.
The region is also quite uneven when it comes to venue quality. The south offers more sophisticated choices, while the north often demands more creativity from couples who want something better than the obvious local option.
For that reason, many couples increasingly look towards places that offer more than a pretty façade: rural estates, barns, vineyards and green spaces with atmosphere. They may not always look like a palace dream, but they often make for the more convincing wedding setting.

Anyone celebrating on New Year’s Eve does not want thin background sound and definitely not a DJ who acts surprised at midnight as though the key moment of the evening has only just occurred to him. The place should be running, the mood should carry and between the toast, the countdown and the fireworks it should look and feel like a proper party rather than supervised waiting for midnight.
And yes, New Year’s Eve does not run on normal DJ rates. That should hardly be a surprise. While other people are raising glasses, setting off fireworks or at least trying to eat in peace, the DJ is working. Anyone who seriously believes that New Year’s Eve is merely an ordinary Saturday with a little glitter sprinkled on top is usually brought back to reality fairly quickly.
For your commercial New Year’s Eve event in Raguhn-Jeßnitz, the current flat rate for 2026 is 1.200 EUR plus 19% VAT for up to 200 guests, 6 to 8 hours of music, sound and lighting, all in one room or hall. GEMA fees are not included.

Whether it is a summer party, Christmas event, open day, anniversary or product presentation, the point is usually not simply that some music is playing in the room. What matters is clear sound for announcements, as little microphone chaos as possible and a feel for when things should stay subtle and when they are allowed to become more lively.
For that I bring suitable sound and lighting for speech and music, wireless microphones for hosting or speeches if needed and the experience to support a business framework without killing it through awkward over-entertainment. If the event is meant to become more relaxed later on, the music can switch with it. And if the event grows beyond what normal room or site coverage can sensibly handle, extra capacity can be added via a partner company.

Especially at relaxed celebrations, not every minute needs to be tightly choreographed. Sometimes all it takes is a microphone, the right song and one guest who can either sing surprisingly well or with excellent confidence do the exact opposite. In both cases, entertainment is guaranteed.
The karaoke package includes around 300 songs from well-known classics to newer chart songs, two wireless microphones, a monitor on a stand for the lyrics, playback through my DJ sound system and of course title lists so that people do not have to spend ten minutes debating what can actually be sung.
