Mobile DJ for Genthin
An ideal DJ for an event in Genthin should be someone you would not only book, but someone you could genuinely imagine as a guest at your own celebration. So no forced showmanship, no awkward permanent grin on command, and no microphone work that makes the champagne reception quietly give up and leave.
What you will find here instead is a mobile DJ who believes in personal planning, suitable sound and lighting, and one clear goal: your celebration should not feel interchangeable. The evening should fit you – not some ready-made concept from the drawer labelled “it will probably do somehow”.
What the evening is really about
Most enquiries are not about some abstract “event” at all, but about very specific celebrations: weddings, birthdays, family parties, club events or perhaps a summer gathering where people want more than just standing around politely with a drink in hand.
That is exactly why the first conversation should not be about playlists, but about the occasion itself. Depending on who is celebrating, what is being celebrated and how the evening is meant to feel, the result will either come together nicely – or simply end up being a date with speakers.
So you know who you are dealing with
Mobiler Musikservice is me, Jens-Peter Weismantel. My first DJ experience goes all the way back to 1992, followed by many years as a radio DJ in web radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed, providing music for weddings, birthdays, family celebrations and other occasions where music, atmosphere and people should work together rather than compete.
I do not believe in forcing celebrations into one rigid template just because that makes planning feel easier. People celebrate differently, guests react differently, and the evening may look different for exactly that reason. I would much rather you tell me openly what you want than have some generic programme dumped on top of your event.
How much lead time makes sense
As soon as you know where exactly you will be celebrating in Genthin, it is worth getting in touch. During the season from May to September, 6 to 12 months is a good rule of thumb. Outside the season, 1 to 3 months is often enough. That does not mean nothing works later on – only that an early enquiry is usually the more relaxed option.
The peak season has begun. Calendar space is gradually becoming tighter. If you are still planning to celebrate this summer, now is the time to get in touch. Whether it is a wedding, birthday or summer party, secure your date in good time.
Frequently booked as DJ for:
➥ Private parties
Private parties rarely bring together just one type of crowd. From the child with a juice glass to the aunt with unexpectedly strong dance floor instincts, everybody is there – and that is exactly why such an evening needs more than a few safe hits.

Whether it is a birthday, pre-wedding party, anniversary or a larger celebration with family and friends: hosts want atmosphere, guests would ideally each like to hear their own music, and somewhere in between stands the DJ. Anyone who thinks I only have to press play and the rest will sort itself out either knows private parties only by hearsay or has been extremely lucky.
In Genthin, things usually work just like they do elsewhere: first you need a feel for the evening, then for the guests, and then for the right moment. Some people want to dance early, others only later, and others are simply thrilled when something comes on that they have not heard in years.
That is why I do not try to turn private parties into a pretend nightclub. My job is to shape an evening out of your guests, your occasion and your atmosphere – one that stays lively without pulling in five directions at once. When that works well, it looks easy. It is not.
➥ Wedding celebrations
A wedding is also just a private celebration with family and friends. And no, it absolutely is not. Because unlike almost any other party, you do not want to end the night thinking it could all have been better with a little more planning.

What I mean by that slightly confusing opening is simple: weddings demand even more care than an ordinary family celebration. Quite rightly, couples aim for a very high level of perfection, because unlike a birthday party that went slightly wrong, you cannot just say, “We will do it better next year.” This day is meant to be uniquely beautiful.
That is exactly why every wedding is something special to me as a DJ. I prefer to prepare weddings together with the couple in a personal meeting at the venue itself. In that final conversation we go through every highlight of the celebration so as little as possible is left to chance and typical planning mistakes can be avoided. I also speak with the person taking on the role of toastmaster so that guests planning surprises get the support they need as well.
The district of Jerichower Land offers a wide range of wedding venues. If you are already looking for a DJ, you have probably found your venue already, or perhaps even booked it. Maybe you still have a few lovely places nearby on your shortlist, possibly including venues such as Dretzel Castle in Gladau bei Genthin. One thing stays the same either way: ask about the DJ early, ideally around 12 months in advance. Popular dates tend to disappear especially fast.
Weddings in Saxony-Anhalt – between tradition and dream venues
Saxony-Anhalt is known for castles and historic buildings, so it is easy to assume the state must be full of fairy-tale wedding settings. Unfortunately, that picture is only partly true, because many of those sites are not actually available for private celebrations.
The region is also quite uneven when it comes to venue quality. The south offers more sophisticated choices, while the north often demands more creativity from couples who want something better than the obvious local option.
For that reason, many couples increasingly look towards places that offer more than a pretty façade: rural estates, barns, vineyards and green spaces with atmosphere. They may not always look like a palace dream, but they often make for the more convincing wedding setting.
➥ Sports events
A sports event does not live on results alone, but also on atmosphere. That atmosphere does not appear by magic, especially not when all that can be heard between two programme items is wind noise and nervous throat-clearing into a microphone.

Whether it is a club celebration, a tournament or a school sports day, I can accompany this kind of event musically and technically without turning it into an artificial fairground. The point is not to drown every moment in sound, but to be properly present where announcements, music and a clear running order genuinely help the event.
That means suitable sound for smaller grounds or halls, wireless microphones for moderation, speeches and awards, and if required, somebody who can handle the microphone properly as well. If you need someone who does more than place cables and stand back, that can be arranged too.
And yes, music is naturally part of it. Not as an end in itself, but so that entrances, breaks, award ceremonies or waiting times do not feel like dead air. If a party is planned afterwards, the transition can happily be very smooth.
➥ Karaoke
What helps against dead air at a party? Another pointless little game – or simply putting a microphone into someone’s hand and seeing who dares to tackle the chorus. Karaoke is usually the more entertaining answer.

The best part is that nobody has to be a great singer. Karaoke still works when the notes only land roughly in the same postcode. For the atmosphere, what matters more is that somebody starts. The rest usually follows by itself.
The package includes around 300 karaoke tracks for solo singers and duets, two wireless microphones, a monitor on a stand for the lyrics, playback through my sound system and song lists for browsing. In short: everything you need so a fun idea does not first turn into a technical problem.
You can currently add the karaoke package to your DJ party in Genthin for 69,00 EUR.
However, it is not intended as a stand-alone karaoke system for hire. It is an extra for your celebration, ready whenever someone suddenly decides that now is the moment to sing.
➥ Proms and graduation parties
A prom or graduation party is not just any event with smart clothes, a few photos and some music later on. For many people it is the evening when a long chapter officially ends, and ideally it should not be remembered with a shrug.
A prom or graduation party is not just any event with smart clothes, a few photos and some music later on. For many people it is the evening when a long chapter officially ends, and ideally it should not be remembered with a shrug.
That is exactly why such evenings rarely work like ordinary parties. Often there is a more formal part first, with speeches, awards, food or programme items, and later the event is supposed to turn into a proper celebration. At that point you very quickly notice whether music is merely being played somewhere or whether someone is actually carrying the evening from “still seated smartly at the tables” to “now we are finally celebrating”.
I support graduation events with the sound and equipment needed both for the programme and for the party afterwards, with solid audio and with the awareness that this evening is not only for a few friends, but often also for parents, teachers and other guests. That does not need to feel stiff, but it should not be chaotic either.
And one well-meant piece of advice before you get lost in decoration, themes and entrance ideas: book your DJ early. Graduation parties land right in the middle of a season already under pressure from weddings, summer parties and all sorts of other celebrations. Anyone leaving it too late should not be surprised if their preferred option has already gone.
