Who I am
My name is Jens-Peter Weismantel. I first started gaining experience as a DJ back in 1992, and later spent many years as a radio DJ on online radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed under the name Mobiler Musikservice, providing music for celebrations where the soundtrack should not merely run in the background, but genuinely fit the occasion.
What matters to me is that a celebration should not follow some standard pattern that could simply be thrown over any group of guests. Every person is different, so every evening may look different as well. What do you want for your event? That is the question worth discussing properly, rather than relying on ready-made concepts.
The right time to get in touch
Once the venue for your celebration in Premnitz is fixed, the enquiry can follow straight away. For dates between May and September, a lead time of around 6 to 12 months makes sense. From October to April, 1 to 3 months is often enough. Of course there are always exceptions, but enquiring too early is usually far less of a problem than enquiring too late.
The off-season runs from October to April. Plan your party or Christmas party 1 to 3 months in advance. If you are getting married next year or planning a celebration between May and September, now is a very good time to coordinate your preferred dates early. The classic occasion is of course a birthday, often a milestone one. But it can just as easily be a confirmation, coming of age, anniversary or simply a family gathering where people want something more than coffee and cake. For me that means looking closely, staying musically flexible and not pretending forty guests will automatically share the same three favourite songs.
Some people imagine the DJ’s job to be surprisingly simple: press a button, music plays, dance floor fills. If only it worked that way, I could take a lot more breaks. Especially at private celebrations, the real work lies in bringing together very different guests musically without the evening falling apart.
In Premnitz, that is no different from anywhere else. There too, people with very different ideas of party music sit around one table, and in the end as many of them as possible should feel that the evening felt right for them.

Still looking puzzled? Good. That small bit of confusion was intentional. As at any celebration, poor planning can damage the evening, and well-meant surprises can throw a schedule off completely. The difference is that at an ordinary private party you can always say, “Next time we will do it better.” Ideally, a wedding only happens once.
That is why I prepare weddings more thoroughly than other events. The final planning meeting with the couple ideally takes place at the venue. I also coordinate with the best man, maid of honour or whoever is organising surprises, because their ideas can have a real impact on the flow of the evening. Staying in touch on the wedding day itself helps prevent awkward interruptions and keeps the celebration running naturally.
When couples start looking for a DJ, the venue is often already booked or at least close to being decided. Maybe you have made your choice; maybe you are still comparing two or three favourites nearby. Falkenseer Hof Hotel with Restaurant "Zur Oase" might be one of them. The district of Havelland gives you plenty to choose from, and once the date and venue are becoming firm, it is best not to leave the DJ enquiry too long.

That is exactly what I am bookable for as a DJ on New Year’s Eve. If the evening only truly catches fire around midnight, a slow musical stroll does not help. New Year’s Eve may start off relaxed, but by the time the countdown approaches it should be clear that this is not just about chilled sparkling wine – the party itself needs to mean business.
What many people underestimate is this: for service providers, New Year’s Eve is not some romantic exception, but a working date with particularly high demand. That is why the fee is noticeably higher than on a normal date. That is neither rip-off nor bad mood, just the difference between an ordinary Saturday and the one night when half the country wants to celebrate.
For commercial New Year’s Eve events in Premnitz, I currently offer a flat rate of 1.200 EUR plus 19% VAT for 2026, covering up to 200 guests, 6 to 8 hours of music plus sound and lighting for one room or hall. GEMA fees are additional.
This flat rate does not apply to private celebrations or club events. In those cases I look at the actual framework and make you an individual offer rather than throw some generic New Year’s Eve price at you.

For me, emergency DJ service applies to all enquiries received less than 72 hours before music start time and to all bookings confirmed less than 48 hours before music start time. At that point there is no longer any room for the usual preparation with wish lists, fine tuning and a comfortable lead-up. Then the goal is simply to bring structure, music and atmosphere back into the evening at all.
So you do not have to guess the rough price range in the middle of that stress, you will find a pricing example here. And just so there is no misunderstanding: I can handle more than tiny emergencies. I can also provide larger emergency events for indoor spaces with up to around 250 guests. What I bring is not magic dust, but experience, equipment and a very large music library. What no longer works at this stage is a finely prepared content plan. No long wish list, no twenty-point no-go catalogue and no last-minute shopping trip for obscure personal favourites. In an emergency, people dance to what I already have properly in my repertoire and can sensibly work into the evening.
If things are really burning, please call me first. If I cannot answer right away, do leave a voicemail with the location and the desired music start time. If you prefer writing, put “emergency” or “urgent” very clearly into the subject or occasion field. Otherwise your emergency can easily look like a normal enquiry, and in this case that would be less than ideal.

The best part is that nobody has to be a great singer. Karaoke still works when the notes only land somewhere in the same postcode. For the atmosphere, what matters more is that somebody starts. The rest usually follows by itself.
The package includes around 300 karaoke tracks for solo singers and duets, two wireless microphones, a monitor on a stand for the lyrics, playback through my sound system and song lists for browsing. In short: everything you need so a fun idea does not first turn into a technical problem.
