My name is Jens-Peter Weismantel. I first started gaining experience as a DJ back in 1992, and later spent many years as a radio DJ in web radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed under the name Mobiler Musikservice, providing music for celebrations where the soundtrack should not merely run in the background, but genuinely fit the occasion.
What matters to me is that a celebration should not follow some standard pattern that could simply be thrown over any group of guests. Every person is different, so every evening may look different as well. What do you want for your event? That is the question worth discussing properly, rather than relying on ready-made concepts.
How much lead time makes sense
As soon as you know where exactly you will be celebrating in Brück, it is worth getting in touch. During the season from May to September, 6 to 12 months is a good rule of thumb. Outside the season, 1 to 3 months is often enough. That does not mean nothing works later on – only that an early enquiry is usually the more relaxed option.

Whether it is a birthday, pre-wedding party, anniversary or a larger celebration with family and friends: hosts want atmosphere, guests would ideally each like to hear their own music, and somewhere in between stands the DJ. Anyone who thinks I only have to press play and the rest will sort itself out either knows private parties only by hearsay or has been extremely lucky.

What I mean by that slightly confusing opening is simple: weddings demand even more care than an ordinary family celebration. Quite rightly, couples aim for a very high level of perfection, because unlike a birthday party that went slightly wrong, you cannot just say, “We will do it better next year.” This day is meant to be uniquely beautiful.
That is exactly why every wedding is something special to me as a DJ. I prefer to prepare weddings together with the couple in a personal meeting at the venue itself. In that final conversation we go through every highlight of the celebration so as little as possible is left to chance and typical planning mistakes can be avoided. I also speak with the person taking on the role of toastmaster so that guests planning surprises get the support they need as well.
By the time a couple starts looking for a DJ, the venue is often already fixed or at least very clearly taking shape. Maybe you have already made your choice, maybe you are still comparing two or three favourites nearby. Straw House in Groß Kreutz might already be part of that picture as well. For me, emergency DJ service applies to all enquiries received less than 72 hours before music start time and to all bookings confirmed less than 48 hours before music start time. At that point there is no longer any room for the usual preparation with wish lists, fine tuning and a comfortable lead-up. Then the goal is simply to bring structure, music and atmosphere back into the evening at all.
So you do not have to guess the rough price range in the middle of that stress, you will find a pricing example here. What I bring is not magic dust, but experience, equipment and a very large music library. What no longer works at this stage is a finely prepared content plan. No long wish list, no twenty-point no-go catalogue and no last-minute shopping trip for obscure personal favourites. In an emergency, people dance to what I already have properly in my repertoire and can sensibly work into the evening.
If things are really burning, please call me first. If I cannot answer right away, do leave a voicemail with the location and the desired music start time. If you prefer writing, put “emergency” or “urgent” very clearly into the subject or occasion field. Otherwise your emergency can easily look like a normal enquiry, and in this case that would be less than ideal.

The best part is that nobody has to be a great singer. Karaoke still works when the notes only land roughly in the same postcode. For the atmosphere, what matters more is that somebody starts. The rest usually follows by itself.
The package includes around 300 karaoke tracks for solo singers and duets, two wireless microphones, a monitor on a stand for the lyrics, playback through my sound system and song lists for browsing. In short: everything you need so a fun idea does not first turn into a technical problem.

That is exactly what I am bookable for as a DJ on New Year’s Eve. If the evening only truly catches fire around midnight, a slow musical stroll does not help. New Year’s Eve may start off relaxed, but by the time the countdown approaches it should be clear that this is not just about chilled sparkling wine – the party itself needs to mean business.
What many people underestimate is this: for service providers, New Year’s Eve is not some romantic exception, but a working date with particularly high demand. That is why the fee is noticeably higher than on a normal date. That is neither rip-off nor bad mood, just the difference between an ordinary Saturday and the one night when half the country wants to celebrate.
For commercial New Year’s Eve events in Brück, I currently offer a flat rate of 1.200 EUR zzgl. 19 % MwSt. for 2026, covering up to 200 guests, 6 to 8 hours of music plus sound and lighting for one room or hall. GEMA fees are additional.
This flat rate does not apply to private celebrations or club events. In those cases I look at the actual framework and make you an individual offer rather than throw some generic New Year’s Eve price at you.
