Mobile DJ for Brandenburg an der Havel
An ideal DJ for an event in Brandenburg an der Havel should be someone you would not only book, but someone you could genuinely imagine as a guest at your own celebration. So no forced showmanship, no awkward permanent grin on command, and no microphone work that makes the champagne reception quietly give up and leave.
What you will find here instead is a mobile DJ who believes in personal planning, suitable sound and lighting, and one clear goal: your celebration should not feel interchangeable. The evening should fit you – not some ready-made concept from the drawer labelled “it will probably do somehow”.
No celebration is just “something with music”
People getting married have different expectations from those celebrating a birthday. A family event often brings several generations to the same tables, a club evening has a different rhythm again, and at some parties it is obvious very quickly that the night may start gently but certainly should not end that way.
That is exactly why the occasion matters more here than the place name. The location is important, of course. But nobody remembers how often it appeared on the page. What matters is whether the celebration fits the people who are coming together there.
Who I am
My name is Jens-Peter Weismantel. I first started gaining experience as a DJ back in 1992, and later spent many years as a radio DJ in web radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed under the name Mobiler Musikservice, providing music for celebrations where the soundtrack should not merely run in the background, but genuinely fit the occasion.
What matters to me is that a celebration should not follow some standard pattern that could simply be thrown over any group of guests. Every person is different, so every evening may look different as well. What do you want for your event? That is the question worth discussing properly, rather than relying on ready-made concepts.
The right time to get in touch
Once the venue for your celebration in Brandenburg an der Havel is fixed, the enquiry can follow straight away. For dates between May and September, a lead time of around 6 to 12 months makes sense. From October to April, 1 to 3 months is often enough. Of course there are always exceptions, but enquiring too early is usually far less of a problem than enquiring too late.
The warmer months bring weddings, Jugendweihe celebrations, summer parties and birthday celebrations. The peak season starts in May. For celebrations in May and June, it is now high time to enquire; for events from July to September, you should not wait any longer either.
Frequently booked as DJ for:
➥ Private celebrations
Birthdays often look harmless on paper. In reality they frequently bring together three generations, wildly different musical tastes and at least one guest with an extremely firm opinion about their favourite song.

That is exactly what makes private celebrations interesting. Whether it is a milestone birthday, a coming-of-age event, a family anniversary or a silver wedding celebration: everyone should have a good evening even though musically they are rarely shopping in the same aisle. For me that does not mean running through a prepared list, but finding the right curve between singalongs, dancing, recognition and the occasional breather at the right moment.
In Brandenburg an der Havel, an evening like this usually begins much like it does elsewhere: first people talk, eat and observe, later the mood gradually tips towards party mode. That is where real sensitivity is needed, because sometimes only one song lies between “please not too wild just yet” and “why is nobody dancing yet?”.
I take my cue from your preferences, from the reactions in the room and of course from suitable requests. Because at private celebrations the point is not to celebrate me, but to keep your evening on course in a way that as many guests as possible remember fondly.
➥ Weddings
Weddings are usually celebrated with family, friends and colleagues. Even so, there is a separate section for them here, because a wedding plays in a very different league.

Still looking puzzled? Good. That small bit of confusion was intentional. Just like at any other celebration, planning mistakes can damage a party or even kill it completely. The same goes for guests who crash the timetable with their “wonderful and unique surprise”. The difference is that mistakes at an ordinary private party can be corrected next time. At weddings they cannot, because ideally you only celebrate them once.
Weddings may not be unique to me, but each one is special, and my pre-event nerves make that clear enough. I prepare weddings more thoroughly than any other kind of event. The final planning meeting with my couples ideally takes place at the venue. Coordination with toastmasters or witnesses is part of that too, because they can make or break a wedding evening just as much. Ongoing communication on the wedding day itself also helps prevent awkward disruptions and contributes to a particularly beautiful overall experience.
The city of Brandenburg an der Havel offers a wide range of wedding venues. If you are already looking for a DJ, you have probably found your venue already, or perhaps even booked it. Maybe you still have a few lovely places nearby on your shortlist, possibly including venues such as Brandenburg Shipyard. One thing stays the same either way: ask about the DJ early, ideally around 12 months in advance. Popular dates tend to disappear especially fast.
Weddings in Brandenburg – between tradition and dream venues
In Brandenburg, nature is never far away. For many couples that makes the region especially attractive for weddings, because the surroundings already bring a kind of calm and openness that no decoration concept can fake.
That naturally influences the choice of location as well. From country estates and manor houses to venues by the water, many couples prefer places where the celebration feels connected to the landscape rather than shut off from it.
There is also a noticeable shift in style. Instead of trying to stage the perfect fairy-tale wedding, many couples now prefer something more grounded, rustic and individual. Brick barns and converted rural spaces fit that mood perfectly and often offer the flexibility modern wedding celebrations really need.
➥ Last-minute DJ
It is frustrating every single time when organisers suddenly find themselves without a DJ shortly before the event starts. Sometimes there is a flimsy excuse, sometimes nothing at all. When things need to move quickly, my emergency DJ service is the backup plan that ideally should never have been necessary.
It is frustrating every single time when organisers suddenly find themselves without a DJ shortly before the event starts. Sometimes there is a flimsy excuse, sometimes nothing at all. When things need to move quickly, my emergency DJ service is the backup plan that ideally should never have been necessary.
For me, emergency DJ service means this: your enquiry arrives later than 72 hours before music start time or the booking itself only happens within the final 48 hours before it. At that point, we are no longer talking about relaxed planning but about a short-notice operation with very clear limits.
For basic orientation, you can see a pricing example here. And because emergencies do not automatically happen in tiny party basements, I can also provide larger emergency events for indoor spaces with up to around 250 guests. If more equipment is needed, please also look at My Prices.
Those limits should be known fairly. I no longer prepare the event in the usual detailed way, which means no extensive request and no-go lists and no miracles for songs I do not already have in stock. My job at that point is not to recreate a concept that was planned for months, but to use judgement, experience and a broad repertoire to put together a functioning and hopefully very good evening. For weddings, that also means it is wise to have alternative titles ready for the first dance and other fixed moments.
If your case is urgent, the best option is to call me directly. And if I am on the road or already in the middle of an event, please leave a message: location, start time, short description of the occasion. Written contact works too, but then please do not hide it politely in the body text – use “Emergency” or “Urgent” clearly in the subject or occasion field.
➥ Karaoke parties
If there is a small gap at a party somewhere between eating, drinking and dancing, you do not necessarily have to dig out the next drinking game. You can also simply let people sing.
If there is a small gap at a party somewhere between eating, drinking and dancing, you do not necessarily have to dig out the next drinking game. You can also simply let people sing.
That is exactly where karaoke shines. Guests entertain guests, someone suddenly discovers their inner pop star, and the rest of the room wavers somewhere between applause, laughter and loud support, depending on the talent level involved. Boredom is rarely an issue.
For that, I bring a ready-made karaoke package: about 300 songs in German and English, two wireless microphones, a 24.5-inch monitor on a stand for the lyrics and clean playback via my DJ system. Song lists are naturally included, too, so nobody has to guess what is available.
The current price for the karaoke package is 69,00 EUR.
And just for the avoidance of doubt before the question even gets a running start: no, the package is not available as a stand-alone booking and not as simple equipment hire. With me, karaoke is always an add-on to your party.
➥ Sports festivals
A sports festival does not need to sound like a constant party all day long. But complete silence between competitions, award ceremonies and the sausage stand is rarely a great help to the atmosphere either.

Especially at school sports days, club events or smaller tournaments, it helps enormously when announcements are clear, music appears at the right moments and the whole thing does not sound as though somebody balanced an old kitchen speaker on the sprinkler system at short notice.
For smaller sports grounds and sports halls, I bring suitable sound reinforcement myself. Wireless microphones for announcements, award ceremonies or a commentator are also no problem. And if the site is larger than my usual setup can sensibly cover, the whole thing can be scaled up via a partner company instead of producing half-baked nonsense.
Music can help hold such a day together: before the start, during breaks, at award ceremonies or exactly at those moments when the energy on site begins to dip. And if there is a celebration afterwards, I am naturally happy to remain on site as DJ for that part as well.
