Mobiler Musikservice is me, Jens-Peter Weismantel. My first DJ experience goes all the way back to 1992, followed by many years as a radio DJ in web radio. Since 2015 I have been self-employed, providing music for weddings, birthdays, family celebrations and other occasions where music, atmosphere and people should work together rather than compete.
I do not believe in forcing celebrations into one rigid template just because that makes planning feel easier. People celebrate differently, guests react differently, and the evening may look different for exactly that reason. I would much rather you tell me openly what you want than have some generic programme dumped on top of your event.
When to enquire
The most sensible time to enquire is as soon as your venue in Aken (Elbe) is confirmed. During the main season from May to September, a lead time of roughly 6 to 12 months is a good guide. Whether it is a birthday, pre-wedding party, anniversary or a larger celebration with family and friends: hosts want atmosphere, guests would ideally each like to hear their own music, and somewhere in between stands the DJ. Anyone who thinks I only have to press play and the rest will sort itself out either knows private parties only by hearsay or has been extremely lucky.

What I mean by that slightly confusing opening is simple: weddings demand even more care than an ordinary family celebration. Quite rightly, couples aim for a very high level of perfection, because unlike a birthday party that went slightly wrong, you cannot just say, “We will do it better next year.” This day is meant to be uniquely beautiful.
That is exactly why every wedding is something special to me as a DJ. I prefer to prepare weddings together with the couple in a personal meeting at the venue itself. In that final conversation we go through every highlight of the celebration so as little as possible is left to chance and typical planning mistakes can be avoided. I also speak with the person taking on the role of toastmaster so that guests planning surprises get the support they need as well.
By the time a couple starts looking for a DJ, the venue is often already fixed or at least very clearly taking shape. Maybe you have already made your choice, maybe you are still comparing two or three favourites nearby. Trattoria al Faro in Muldestausee might already be part of that picture as well. One way or another, The district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld offers enough possibilities, and when date and venue are slowly becoming firm, it is worth not waiting too long with the DJ enquiry.

Saxony-Anhalt is known for castles and historic buildings, so it is easy to assume the state must be full of fairy-tale wedding settings. Unfortunately, that picture is only partly true, because many of those sites are not actually available for private celebrations.
The region is also quite uneven when it comes to venue quality. The south offers more sophisticated choices, while the north often demands more creativity from couples who want something better than the obvious local option.
For that reason, many couples increasingly look towards places that offer more than a pretty façade: rural estates, barns, vineyards and green spaces with atmosphere. They may not always look like a palace dream, but they often make for the more convincing wedding setting.

Especially at school sports days, club events or smaller tournaments, it helps enormously when announcements are clear, music appears at the right moments and the whole thing does not sound as though somebody balanced an old kitchen speaker on the sprinkler system at short notice.
For smaller sports grounds and sports halls, I bring suitable sound reinforcement myself. Wireless microphones for announcements, award ceremonies or a commentator are also no problem. And if the site is larger than my usual setup can sensibly cover, the whole thing can be scaled up via a partner company instead of producing half-baked nonsense.
Music can help hold such a day together: before the start, during breaks, at award ceremonies or exactly at those moments when the energy on site begins to dip. And if there is a celebration afterwards, I am naturally happy to remain on site as DJ for that part as well.

That is exactly what makes proms and other graduation celebrations so special: they are expected to be several things at once. A little formal, a little emotional, a little reflective, and later on a proper party too. That works well when the running order and the technical side are prepared properly instead of being pushed together in a panic on the night itself.
I can support that with suitable sound for speeches, video clips or programme items, with wireless microphones and of course with music once the official part should finally make way for party mood. The evening may certainly become relaxed. It just should not wobble at the points that can easily be planned well beforehand.
And because your year group is not the only one trying to celebrate in late spring and early summer, here comes the slightly unromantic but important part: secure your date in good time. Around then, an astonishing number of people want to get married, celebrate or otherwise make noise.

Whether it is a summer party, Christmas event, open day, anniversary or product presentation, the point is usually not simply that some music is playing in the room. What matters is clear sound for announcements, as little microphone chaos as possible and a feel for when things should stay subtle and when they are allowed to become more lively.
For that I bring suitable sound and lighting for speech and music, wireless microphones for hosting or speeches if needed and the experience to support a business framework without killing it through awkward over-entertainment. If the event is meant to become more relaxed later on, the music can switch with it. And if the event grows beyond what normal room or site coverage can sensibly handle, extra capacity can be added via a partner company.
